Economics is the study of scarcity and unlimited wants, and how the push-pull relationship between those two ideas leads to certain predictable human behaviors.
We have two main objectives in this course:
1) to understand the allocation of scarce resources in societies through analysis of individual choice, market interaction, and public policy. (CSSS 3.1-3)
2) to acquire the knowledge and economic reasoning skills to make sound financial decisions. (CSSS 3.4-7)
